The organizing committee of the rally Perce Neige Maniwaki is excited to bring you news about our event and extend an invitation for you to take part. This will be the 47th edition of the rally which makes this event one of the oldest continuously run motorsport events in North America. There is a wonderful history to this event that has often been called one of the must do adventures of any ralliest. The 47th Adventure in White will be no different than its previous 46th edition in offering every competitor, volunteer and spectator that comes this February a unique combination of spectacular winter roads, dedicated mrashaling, 216 kilometres (130miles) of stages. No matter what role you take in our adventure, you will go home with stories and memories to last a lifetime or until you return next year as the event can easely become pleasantly addictive.
There are some minor changes for this year’s 47th edition . During the 2011 event the organizing committee took into consideration the various comments that were brought foward by the competitors, the marshals and the volunteers in order to improve this years edition .
The changes expected are as follow;
- their will be only one (1) service area at the Cité Étudiante de la Haute Gatineau
- elimination of the turn around at the end of the Tortue stage will improve the time schedule for the reconnaissance
- the long transport at the end of the rally was removed from the circuit and a stage near Maniwaki was added
- the podium will be outdoors but you will be able to stay warm around a campfire dacing to the sound of musicians
- free meal and one (1) free drink for the volunteers
- repairs were made to the famous hills of the Kitiganzibi stage to improve the quality of the road
- the Farley stage wil be held at night

This event will be held under the general competition rules and national rally regulations of the Canadian Association of Rallysport (CARS), affiliated with ASN Canada FIA, the rally regulations of Rally Sport Ontario (RSO), as well as under the present regulations. - Type of event
The Rallye Perce-Neige is a performance rally consisting of two legs with approximatively 585 km in total distance including 16 stages (approximatively 216 km). Most of the stage distance will be run on gravel roads, probably covered with snow and ice. The OPRC event will consist of one leg and will include 12 stages (approximatively 131 km).

- Entries will be accepted untill the end of registration period an Friday, February 3, 2012.

- Eligible vehicles – Open, Group2, Group 5, Production Sport and production GT also in the OPRC event, classic class, will be eligible to start.
- Note that the vehicles registered in any of the United States and running on RA/NASA licences in terms of vehicle eligibility will be placed into comparable CARS vehicle classes according to CARS vehicle eligibility regulations

Included in the fees is a 120$ CA public liability insurance and accidental death and dismemberment premium for insurance coverage during special stages.
Fees include – service book and 2 tickets to the banquet. Additional tickets will be 20$.
All cheques or money orders must be made payable to Rallye Auto Perce-Neige Inc. and be dated no later than January 30, 2012 to be included in the draw for startinf positions. There will be a 100$ (National) or 50$ (OPRC) penalty for late entries received after January 30 2012. Entries should be sent tot the Registrar’s adress – Mélanie Chagnon, 1627 Goyer street, Ste-Marie-Madeleine, Qc J0H 1S0.
Pease note the 100% of the entry fee will be reimbursed if notice of withdrawal is given at least 48 hours prior to the opening of registration. There will be a 75% refund if notice is given within 48 hours of the opening of registration. After the opening of registration, no refund will be made.
- Awards
Awards details will be posted at registration.
- Documents
An entry form and a waiver are enclosed with these regulations along with the self declaration forms for registration and scrutineering. A pre-odometer chechk will be available at registration.
- Eligibility
Eligibility will be according to national regulations, sections I and II.
Please note that studded tires are forbiden (II.D.3).
- Timming and Scoring
Timming , Controls and scoring will be as per NRR – V , VI AND VII. Timming cards will be used. They will be presented at time controls for marking by control workers . All times given will be elasped times. To calculate the time out at the end of a stage , the competitor wil use the lateness time, unless the time spent in the stage is longer. If this should happen, the competitor will use the time in at the finish in hours and minutes.

Note; Competitors unfamiliar with this procedure are invited to attend a time-keeping refressher course which will be given Friday night if they request it before February 3, 2012 at 19 :00h.
- Fuel Stops and Servicing
The service book will help plan servicing. Besides the route for service stops ,it includes :
- -a chart showing the total distance and stage distance run for each service or gas stop;
- - information on indicated service and gas stop areas
The distance between two gas stops will not exeed 150 kilometres
There will be 4 servces at one location and 2 additional optinal refuelling zones at BLACK
ROLLWAY
Servicing and refuelling are limited to designated areas.
- Parc Fermé Inspection
Any car finishing the rally may undergo post event scrutineering. Reassembling the removed parts will be the comprtitor’s responsibility. Upon reaching the finsh control of the event, any team member is allowed to place the vehicle in the Parc Fermé.
- RECEE ( National and OPRC )
While the event will be a typical BLIND RALLY format route book will be provided by the organization , the event will be offering a two pass reconnaissance of the stages on the Friday.
During the recee , competitors can use their rally car .
At the time of the registration of the recee, competitors must register the vehicle that they will use for the recee. A maximum of one car per team is permitted to participate in the recce.
Recee conditions;
-The organization will supply a number that must be affixed to the side window on the co-driver’s side of the vehicle
- The maximum speed is 60 kph in the stages and the posted legal limit on the transits.
-The organization reserves the right to have observation controls during recee. The penalties wil be as follows; 1 st infraction -$100 fine , 2 nd infraction -$500 fine , 3 rd infraction – exclusion from the rally without appeal. Fines must be paid before the start of the rally
-The roads are open to the residents, rally volunteers, rally road crews and forestry trucks. competitors should expect to be sharing those roads.
-Teams are forbidden to travel in the opposite direction on the special stage.
-No recee will be allowed outside of the time period provided or the competitor will be excluded from the rally
- The schedule of the opening of special stages for the recee will be published at rally headquarters.
RECOMMENDATION; It is strongly advised to the recee with a 4WD vehicle or with your rally car,that a full set of winter tires is essential.
18. SHAKEDOWN PROGRAM
This optional program is available to all compatitors. Only registered driver’s , co-driver’s and
vehicles that have successfully passed scrutineering will be permitted to parcipate.
There is no limit to the number of runs that each team may make , provided all runs are completed
Within the allocated time frame. The program will utilize a 2-3 km stage which wil involve a loop
that start and finishes at rally HQ.
Shakedown runs comprised of the registered driver and co-driver may be taken at full competition
Speeds and complete safety equipment ( helmet, harness, head and neck restraints and suit )
Must be worn. Runs comprised of the registered driver and a non-competing passenger are for
Demonstration purpose only. These runs are not intended to be at full competition speeds or
Conditions. Helmets and properly adjusted harnesses are require. However, passengers are not
required to wear driving suits or head and neck restraint system All passengers must sign waivers
prior to participating.
No competitors are to enter the shakedown road outside
of the permitted shakedown schedule
- Special Guest Rides
Rally Perce Neige Maniwaki selected media or guests will be invited to ride in a rally car .
All participants must have signed the event waiver prior to taking part and will be required
To wear a helmet and properly fitted harness. These rides wil be given priority at the start time.
- Miscellaneous
- CARS licenses wil not be issued at the event. Competitors must get their licenses from the CARS office 905 640-4444 or visit www.cars rally.ca before registration.
- All competitors are reminded that, with the exeption of recee during the time period specified, any partising of the route is prohibited under NRR VII, part H,I .
- The official time will be posted at hesdquarters.
